To reach the Technical School of Engineering (ETSE), in the University Rovira i Virgili (URV), Campus Sescelades, where TCCM and WFE will be held, you can take bus 54 or 41 at the square Plaça Imperial Tarraco.

You have to get out of the bus at stop "Països Catalans". It is announced. The entrance of our URV Campus is in front of the bus stop. You will see the logo and name of URV. After entering the Campus you will find the "Sala de Graus" at the building on the right".

How to get to Tarragona from Barcelona Airport (El Prat)

  • BY BUS (the easiest way): The busses from the Barcelona Airport (El Prat) to Tarragona leave from TERMINAL 1. Line: "Barcelona-Tarragona-Salou-Reus". The bus company is called PLANA, and the bus schedule can be found on their website. If you arrive at TERMINAL 2, there is a free shuttle bus between the terminals.
  • BY TRAIN: There is no direct train to Tarragona from the airport. One has to take the train from TERMINAL 2 to the Sants train station in Barcelona, and from there take a train to Tarragona. In case one arrives at TERMINAL 1, there is a free shuttle bus to TERMINAL 2. The route is explained below.
  • BY CAR: One can either rent a car (there are several car rental companies available at the airport) or get a taxi to go to Tarragona (around 120 euro per trip). In case of renting a car, a detailed route can be found here.

 

How to get to Tarragona from Barcelona

You can get to Tarragona by several means of transport:

  • BY TRAIN (the easiest way): The trains to Tarragona leave from Sants station. Line: "Barcelona-Tarragona-Tortosa" RENFE, Telephone. +34 902 240202.
  • BY BUS: The buses of the company ALSA cover the route from Barcelona to Tarragona. They leave from the Barcelona (Nord) station. ALSA telephone +34 902 422 242. Another possibility is to take the PLANA bus from PS Sant Joan/Diputacio to Tarragona. Empresa Plana tel: +34 977 214 475, +34 977 354 445, + 34 618 387 126.
  • BY CAR: The best option is to take the A7 motorway from Barcelona. The exit you have to take is number 33 (Tarragona/Valls), which will take you on to the N-240 and then on to Tarragona.

How to get to Barcelona from the airport


The Prat international airport It is 14 km from Barcelona city centre. For airport information ring the following number +34 93 298 38 38. There are three ways of getting from the airport to Sants station, the main station in the centre of Barcelona:

  • BY TRAIN: Train Line "L'Aeroport-l'Hospitalet-Mataro-Macanet" Line: San Vicenc de Calders-Vilanova-Barcelona-Macanet". RENFE, Tel. +34 902 240 202 Estació de Sants (pl. dels Països Catalans, Tel. +34 902 240 202.
  • BY BUS: AEROBUS, the airport bus. Phone the following number for information: +34 93 412 0000.
  • BY TAXI: The taxi rank is in front of the terminal building. You can order a taxi by ringing +34 93 38710 00, +34 93 490 22 22 or +34 93 225 00 00 (24 hours a day).

How to get to Tarragona from the Reus Airport

There are several ways of getting to Tarragona:

  • BY BUS: The Hispano Igualadina buses leave Reus bus station about every fifteen minutes. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Tel. Barcelona +34 93 339 63 63, Tel. Reus +34 977 77 06 98 Tel customer service +34 902 44 77 26
  • BY TRAIN: Click here to see the timetables: RENFE
  • BY CAR: The best option if you want to go to the Av. Paisos Catalans, 26, Campus Sescelades is the following: when you leave Reus, take the N-420 and half way to Tarragona take the N-340 (Tarragona ring road).

How to get to Tarragona from Valencia

There are several ways of getting from Valencia to Tarragona:

  • BY BUS: For information about buses to Tarragona, phone Valencia bus station: ALSA or phone +34 96 349 72 22.
  • BY TRAIN: You can catch various trains, most of which leave from the Valencia-Nord station, although some leave from Valencia-Cabanyal (normally the type of train known as a Regional Express). For more detailed information, please consult the website of RENFE.
  • BY CAR: The best option if you want to go to the Campus Sescelades is the following: Leave Valencia on the local road and then take the V-21 (Av de Catalunya). Then take the A7 motorway. The exit for Tarragona is number 33 (Tarragona/Valls). Once you have left the motorway, take the N-240 towards Tarragona.

How to get to Tarragona from Madrid

There are several ways of getting from Madrid to Tarragona:

  • BY BUS: For information about the buses to Tarragona: Madrid bus station. There may be no buses that go direct to Tarragona and you may have to change. Telèfon +34 91 468 42 00
  • BY TRAIN: Frequent high-speed trains go to Tarragona, all of which leave from Madrid-Chamartín. For more detailed information, please consult the website of RENFE.
  • BY PLAIN: There are two possible routes: you can catch a plane to Barcelona airport or Reus airport Tel. +34 977 77 98 47. If you catch a plane to Barcelona, follow the instructions above to get to Tarragona. For further information about Madrid airport, consult the following website: AENA.
  • BY CAR: When you leave Madrid, take the M-30. At Saragossa, take the A-2 motorway. Leave the motorway at exit 9 (Montblanc), take the C-14 and then the N-240. You will have to go on to the C-37 for a short time, before you go back on to the N-240.
